Terms of Service
​This Terms of Service Agreement (the “Terms”, “TOS”, or “Agreement”) constitutes a binding agreement between you (“user”, “member”, “player” or “you”) and Dominion Roleplay (“Dominion Roleplay”, “Services”, “we”, “us” or “our”) concerning your access to and use of our website (https://www.dominionroleplay/), custom server content, community discord server, other media, and any property (whether physical or digital) owned or operated by Dominion Roleplay. Other services offered by Dominion Roleplay may be subject to separate terms.
By accessing, receiving or using any Dominion Roleplay Services, you affirm that (i) you are at least 18 years of age and (ii) you are a legal resident of a country where your access to and use of the applicable services are permitted. You represent that you are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, and representations set forth in these Terms of Service, and you agree to abide by and comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, do not access or otherwise use any of the Dominion Roleplay Services or any of its content or features.
We reserve the right to modify or change these Terms at all times without prior notice. It is the sole responsibility of the user to review the Terms before using, viewing, applying for allowlisting, logging in, or otherwise utilizing any of our services.
Your continued use of the Dominion Roleplay Services after the effective date of the revised Terms of Service constitutes your acceptance of the terms.
I. User Accounts
1. Naming Conventions
Our server requires a creation of a unique “Character Name” to represent you while on the server. You may never select the name of another person, any third party’s intellectual property, any name that could mislead other players to believe you to be a staff member of Dominion Roleplay, or any name that Dominion Roleplay deems in its sole discretion to be vulgar, offensive, or otherwise violates these Terms of Service. Dominion Roleplay reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse, alter or delete any user name data tied to the Player
2. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your accounts used to access our content, and you have sole liability for all activities that occur under your account or username. Your account or access to certain services may be restricted, suspended, and/or terminated if someone else uses your account to engage in activity that violates these Terms of Service. You agree to notify Dominion Roleplay immediately if you become aware of or reasonably suspect any breach of security, including without limitation any loss, or theft, you must immediately notify the staff team of Dominion Roleplay.
Dominion Roleplay takes certain steps to protect against possible breaches of our services and if any, the personal data we maintain. However, no website or internet transmission is completely secure. Thus, Dominion Roleplay cannot and does not guarantee that unauthorized access, hacking, data loss, or other breaches will never occur. We urge you to take steps to keep your personal data safe.
3. Multiple Accounts & Account Sharing
Each user is limited to a maximum of one (1) Dominion Roleplay allowlisting. Users found with multiple allowlisted accounts or participating in “account-sharing” in order to exploit, abuse, circumvent or otherwise impact our systems and servers will have their membership and access to all services terminated.
II. Use of Services
1. Access to the Services
Access to the Dominion Roleplay services requires the use of a personal computer as well as communications with or use of disk space on such devices. Dominion Roleplay servers also require the use of a functional microphone and headphones. You must provide at your own expense the PC, microphone, headphones, software, internet connections, and any other equipment required to access and use the Dominion Roleplay Services
2. Availability of Services
Dominion Roleplay does not guarantee that any services will be accessible or available at all times, in all countries and/or all geographic locations, at any given time, or that we will continue to offer any particular services for any particular length of time. Dominion Roleplay may patch, update, or modify a service at any time, with or without notice, but has no obligation to make available any patches, updates or modifications or correct any errors or defects in the services. Dominion Roleplay makes no guarantees about the persistence or availability of any user names or other personas at any time and assumes no liability for lost or deleted account data. Dominion Roleplay reserves the right to offer new services, change and/or discontinue certain services at any time in its sole discretion.
3. Monitoring of Services
There is no requirement or expectation that Dominion Roleplay will monitor or record any online activity on the services. Dominion Roleplay nevertheless reserves the right, without obligation, to monitor and/or record your communications when you use the Dominion Roleplay Services, and you acknowledge and agree that when you use the services, you have no expectation that your communications will be private.
4. Use of Services by Minors
You affirm that (i) you are at least 18 years of age and (ii) you are a legal resident of a country where your access to and use of the applicable services are permitted. You represent that you are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, and representations set forth in these Terms of Service, and you agree to abide by and comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, do not access or otherwise use any of the Dominion Roleplay services or any of its content or features.
III. User Content
1. User-Generated Content
“User Content” (the “User-Generate Content”, “UGC” or “content”) includes any activities that take place on the Dominion Roleplay game servers, and any posts, chats, suggestions, screenshots, images, videos, music, and other data that you contribute, post, upload or otherwise submit to the public or any other person using any Dominion Roleplay Services. You are solely responsible for your content and may be held liable for the content that you contribute, provide, post, upload or otherwise submit if it violates these Terms. Dominion Roleplay does not pre-screen user content and does not endorse or approve any content that users may contribute, provide, post, upload or otherwise submit via the services. Dominion Roleplay also does not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, article, link, or comment posted by other users in the services, and declines any responsibility for the contents of any User Generated Content. You understand that by using the services, you may be exposed to user generated content that is offensive, indecent or objectionable.
2. License Granted on User Content
By using Dominion Roleplay Services, the user grants Dominion Roleplay a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, paid-up, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to host, copy, import, store, modify, adapt, publicly display, reproduce, create derivative works of, transfer, sublicense, and distribute (collectively “Use”), including for publicity and media purposes, in whole or in part, all User Content transmitted through the Services.
3. Code of Conduct
Use of the Services to interact with Dominion Roleplay content and other players within the community is governed by our Community Code of Conduct (the “Code of Conduct”) and applicable in-game policies (the “Server Rules”), requires all User Content, including links to external content, to comply with with our Community Code of Conduct.
By using any Dominion Roleplay Service you agree to:
i. Prohibited Content:
Never contribute any content which, in the sole and exclusive discretion of Dominion Roleplay, is deemed offensive, unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, invasive of another’s privacy, encourages criminal behavior, gives rise to civil liability, violates any law, infringes on intellectual property rights, or is deemed racially, ethically, or otherwise objectionable.
ii. Hateful Conduct & Harassment:
Never harass, threaten, embarrass, or cause distress to another member using Dominion Roleplay sites and Services. This includes but is not limited to communicating or behaving in a way that is predatory, threatening, intimidating, lewd, demeaning, derogatory, invasive of privacy, abusive, or any other undesired behavior used to cause discomfort or disrupt another member’s experience. This also includes the prolonged, extensive, and/or malicious targeting of an individual or group of individuals through Dominion Roleplay Services.
iii. Real World Threats:
Never attempt, threaten, encourage or refer to real world violence, or any harmful behavior that may endanger life or lead to physical harm while utilizing the Services. This includes but is not limited to self destructive behavior and any content that glorifies self harm.
iv. Firestarting:
Never ridicule, post aggressive or hostile complaints, or accuse other users of breaking rules through any public communication channels (chat rooms, discord, game chat, etc). If you do suspect another player is cheating and have substantiated evidence, please notify us directly by filling out our report form.
v. Impersonation:
Never exhibit any falsehoods, misrepresentations, or any attempts to impersonate another person or entity, indicate falsely that you are a Dominion Roleplay staff member, falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with another person or entity, or communicate in any way that makes it appear that the communication originates from Dominion Roleplay. This includes “mini-modding”, assuming authority, and other excessive forms of informing users of server violation which may lead players to mistakenly believe you are a member of staff.
vi. Personal Information:
Never post or make available in any format any person’s personal or account information, or make attempts to obtain account information, passwords or other private information from anyone on while utilizing Dominion Roleplay services. Additionally, never access, use, download, or supply to anyone any directory of Users of the Services or any other information concerning Users or use of the Services.
vii. Disruption:
Never interfere with, modify, block, burden or disrupt the Services (including any security-related features), attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network related to the Services, or attempt to breach or circumvent any security or authentication measures related to any Services.
viii. Cheating & Exploiting:
Never engage in or encourage the use of third-party programs or scripts, the altering of game files, the exploiting of bugs, errors or vulnerabilities, or any activity that grants an unfair advantage while on any Dominion Roleplay service. If you are suspected of cheating or exploiting, your access may be temporarily revoked during the investigation.
viiii. Malicious Code:
Never upload or make available any material that may contain software, code, viruses, files or programs designed to interrupt, damage, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer, affect connection to our Services, intercept or mine data, or that compromises a user’s privacy.
x. Spam:
Never transmit any content or messages which disrupts the flow of chat such as unnecessary, duplicate, repetitive or irrelevant messages, or other non-contributing content.This includes solicitations, 3rd party advertisements and posting multiple messages of the same subject across multiple Dominion Roleplay communication mediums in an attempt to garner a response.
xi. Intellectual Property Rights:
Never contribute any content that violates, misappropriate or infringe on any patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of any person or entity. This includes any third party content included in your content, derivative creations, or performances of others’ copyrighted content. You represent and warrant that you have the lawful right to distribute and reproduce such User Content.
xii. Malicious or False Reporting:
Never abuse the Dominion Roleplay Support system by submitting intentionally misleading or malicious player reports, or by using the threat of “reporting” to manipulate the actions of another member of the community. Submitting false reports will result in account action.
xiii. Ban Evasion:
Never create multiple or additional accounts in order to circumvent a community ban or suspension. If you have been issued a temporary suspension or permanent ban, you may not access the Services in any way until the punishment duration has ended or the ban has been explicitly appealed.
V. Sale of Virtual Goods or Services
1. Outside of the official Marketplace, no user, may solicit real currency, gifts, or favors for in-game items, game currency, favors or other services that will give an advantage to a specific group or player.
This includes but is not limited to:
Trading in-game currency, items or services for real currency, gifts or favors.
Soliciting a recommendation to the allowlist.
Soliciting membership to the allowlist.
Soliciting a staff position or special permission.
Soliciting the alteration of current features or implementation of new features.
Soliciting the lifting of a previous lifetime ban.
VI. Termination
1. Suspension or Termination of Account
In response to a violation of these Terms of Service, Dominion Roleplay may issue a warning, restrict access to certain services, or permanently ban any and all accounts that you have established. Dominion Roleplay may terminate or suspend your access to and/ use of the services immediately, without notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to (i) violating these Terms of Service; (ii) if Dominion Roleplay, in its sole discretion, deems that your information is untrue, inaccurate, not complete or incomplete; (iii) if your access to or use of the Services infringes on or is suspected of infringing on another’s rights/any intellectual property; or (iv) if doing so would be in the best interests of our community, the Dominion Roleplay Services, or the rights of a third party ; or (v) Your account has been inactive for more than 1 year; or (vi) for any other reason.
You acknowledge that in such circumstances, Dominion Roleplay is not required to provide you notice before taking action to restrict, suspend or terminate your access to or use of the services, and/or your Account. If access to your account is terminated, you may not access or use any Dominion Roleplay Service again without express written permission from Dominion Roleplay.
2. Consequences of Termination
Any and all associated data and content (including, but not limited to, characters, structures, creatures, items, currency, etc.) will be considered forfeit immediately in the event of any temporary suspension, cancellation, closure, or termination of your account by Dominion Roleplay. You understand and agree that using the Dominion Roleplay services comes with the risk that your account may be terminated or suspended and that, whenever you use the Dominion Roleplay Services, you’ll bear this risk in mind and always conduct yourself appropriately.
